The Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce (MPCC) hosted a May 22 ribbon-cutting for the opening of homeRN Charleston at their MPCC office. Several board members were present, including MPCC Director Rebecca Imholz, homeRN Charleston owner Drew Faw and her team, Alex Dean, Director of Marketing, Olivia Vanderhoof, Office Administrator and Jenni Rogers, Registered Nurse.

  • Mountain Brook Concierge Service Bringing Urgent Care to the Home

    (Feb 15, 2024) HomeRN, a Mountain Brook private-pay concierge caregiving service now has a new offering for clients. The company now offers in-home urgent care visits, including overall assessments, testing, diagnosis and treatment provided by a nurse or nurse practitioner. The process starts with a phone consultation with a NP. Testing, diagnosing, treating and prescribing medication is then facilitated in the patient's home. HomeRN treats strep, flu, Covid-19, the common cold, sinus infections, urinary tract infections, shingles and stomach bugs.

    (Aug 1, 2023) Caring for a loved one is a full-time responsibility, and many times families find it hard to merge that task into their lives without stress or emotional setbacks. Eliza Maxwell, a Mountain Brook resident and founder of homeRN, is assisting families with a new concierge caregivers service. Maxwell saw a need to bring homeRN to the area when her own father became sick. When she went to check on him, she noticed inadequacies with his care. During the visit, she realized the caregiver role would be better suited by a nurse with medical experience and knowledge.
