Meet our IV Therapy
Nurse Practitioners

Kathleen is from Birmingham and graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. After graduation she worked as an ICU nurse at UAB Hospital.  She went on to obtain her Masters of Science in Nursing from UAB and began working in surgical dermatology as a nurse practitioner in 2019.

With 7 years of nursing experience, Kathleen has worked in various healthcare settings, including critical care, private practice, and nurse education. Kathleen's role at homeRN includes overseeing our IV Therapy service and collaborating with our team of nurses on patient care.  She was drawn to homeRN's model of providing individualized, nurse-led care in the comfort of the client's home and realizes the need for this service in our community.  Her favorite part of nursing is providing education to patients and their loved ones. In addition to working at homeRN, she is a clinical associate at Samford University Moffett & Sanders School of Nursing, where she leads and teaches nursing students through their clinical rotations in the hospital.

Outside of homeRN, Kathleen enjoys spending time at the lake, reading, and playing tennis.  She and her husband have one son, Paul, and welcomed a new baby girl, Kit, in July 2024.
