Leadership
Eliza Maxwell
Eliza Maxwell, founder of homeRN, grew up in Richmond, Virginia. She attended the University of Alabama, where she received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing. She received her Master’s Degree in Nursing from the University of South Alabama in 2012. For the past 12 years, she has lived in Mountain Brook where she now calls home.
As a registered nurse, Eliza worked at St. Vincent’s Birmingham on the orthopedic floor and in the cardiovascular intensive care unit. She was then hired as an Advanced Practice Nurse for Alabama Cardiovascular Group, and her most recent experience is with Alegis Care, a home health agency. During her time with home health, she realized the importance for home nursing care after procedures, hospitalizations, and changes in health conditions for optimal recovery. She also realized the emotional and physical impacts family members can face when caring for loved ones, and wanted to create a model where a nurse can coordinate the care and alleviate the full time responsibility that comes with caring for loved ones at home.
She is proud to channel her passion for nursing into her latest venture and is dedicated to serving your family and loved ones with optimal nursing care.

"Eliza, Eliza, Eliza! WOW! You continue to blow me away! I am so appreciative and thankful for the value that you bring—organized, structured, personable, clinically sound, kind, responsive, and most of all, just a pleasure to work with. I am very particular about who my clinicians are that care for me and my family, and I can say this with no hesitation: I would be honored and privileged to have you as my nurse practitioner any day."
